In 1976, Terry Armstrong and Lew Hayden had a vision of how shoes should be made – with premium leather, superior craftsmanship, and built for extraordinary comfort. They began with the belief that everyone deserves a shoe that looks good and fits properly. In that spirit there are now over 88 sizes and width available for women and 112 for men, and we still craft our shoes the by hand – one shoe at a time. Our footwear is handcrafted with Americas finest and softest leathers. Even when the leather arrives from the tanners, we inspect every piece and even measure the thickness of these leathers to make sure it is up to specifications.
